View Full Version : Importing SoCalG35.com Members?

We've been sending periodic e-mail reminders to those 902 members registered at SoCalG35.com about the new site, SoCalG.com.

Even though SoCalG35.com redirects back to SoCalG.com, we're wondering if we should go ahead and import the users so they won't have to go through the registration process again.

One of primary reasons why we haven't done so is because we want to see which of those 902 members are active.

That being said, Fred and I want to hear from you! Please vote in the poll provided above.

I think you can send a reminder email again to users.. but I don't want to import all the users in here. Actually, the socalG35.com forums where using a different Bulletin software called SMF (Simple Machines Forums), so it's not 100% transferable.
VQFanatics.com was using VBulletin, so, we could import those users easier. But, I believe that after your emails, if they don't register, they are not interested anymore.
I rather have a smaller number of interested users than 1,000 inactive members.

i am currently talking with one of the organizers of super car sunday trying to figure out a marque date for a g and z day. he is all for it and is looking forward to having it in the 2011 line up. i would like to see of how many people would be interested in showing up. if u wud be coming and get there early u wud be in the first row and it wud be a mix of g35 g37 350z and 370z. reply to this post if u like this idea cause i am going to be speaking with him in the next couple weeks and wanna make sure alot of people will show up to it.
